* Please "Like" our Facebook page                                                                                                                                                                                          Corsair at Pappy Boyington Field                                                                                                                                    This F4U-5 Corsair, Texan, and Stearman visited Pappy Boyington Field in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho in August 2011.  Thanks to the generosity of the Corsair owner Mr. Raymon Thompson, and Pilot Steve Bakke, for their efforts to bring these Warbirds to our community.  This was our own little celebration of the Centennial of Naval Aviation/Marine Aviation Centennial.   You can watch a short video of the Corsair flyover here.     ________________________________________________________________________________________         "Pappy Boyington Field" will be showing in the Skyscape Theater during AirVenture Oshkosh 2011   ________________________________________________________________________________________                                        Aired on the 'National Medal of Honor Day' on March 25, 2011                   Article in March/April 2011 issue     ________________________________________________________________________________________   Renowned aviation photographer Ted Carlson has shared these photos of the 'Black Sheep Heritage Flight'.
